Thinking Allowed!

Excited and eager to learn, our Year 1 children explored all that the ThinkTank has to offer. They had a fantastic talk all about Tim Peake and his time on the ISS, where they wowed everyone with their space knowledge by answering all of the teachers questions. The children were especially excited to hear in detail about how astronauts go to the toilet and to find out about the ideal materials for a space suit. One of our boys managed (whilst dressed in a space suit!) to exit the ISS and fix a broken solar panel!! The children took some time to explore the technology of the future and look at how robots can help us. In the afternoon, they made the most of the beautiful sunshine by exploring the science garden. There were a few wet feet from the giant stepping stones and a few tired children from running in the giant hamster wheel - it was a great day!
