Our Very Own Mosaic

There was great excitement in the Prep this week when we took delivery of our very own Berky mosaic. The mosaic, created by Year 6, in collaboration with local mosaic artists from Tomato Jack Arts, depicts aspects of Prep school life, such as sport, science, music and chess. The children were involved in every stage of the process, from the design, to the preparation of the tiles, to finally placing the tiles in position. Head of Art, Michelle Bareham, commented, "We are all very proud of what we achieved together, the children worked very hard to produce such an imaginative artwork. We can’t wait to see it in place." The mosaic will hang on the exterior wall of the Prep building, by the front door.
