Enterprising Year 5

      Enterprising Year 5

Year 5 have been learning about enterprise in their carousel lessons, and were put into pairs and tasked with the challenge of setting up small businesses with a start up budget of just £10. Ranging from pom pom key rings to novelty erasers, origami bookmarks to sweet stalls, the businesses were imaginative, and the children learnt how to make as much profit as possible selling to other children in the Prep during break times. The children made a very impressive £600 in profit, and chose to donate over £400 of this to the RNLI lifeboats, the school’s chosen charity this year. With the remainder, the enterprising Year 5 treated themselves to lunch at Prezzo. It was pizza and pasta all round as the children enjoyed the fruits of their labour.
