Summer Art Exhibition

      Summer Art Exhibition

Now in its third year, our Summer Art Exhibition took place immediately after half term. Always a crowd-puller, the exhibition showcased the work of each child from Reception to Year 6, from gorgeous teddy bear collages lovingly crafted by our Reception children, stunning Year 2 bird studies created using ink and quills, to Year 5 silk paintings inspired by the work of Gustav Klimt, and striking Egyptian-inspired Year 3 ceramic coil pots: the art on show was both diverse and appealing. Many visitors were impressed by the Year 6 Scholarship portfolios which were also on display. The standard of work this year was exceptional, and Michelle Bareham, Head of Art commented, “I am so proud of the standard of art at Berky. It is wonderful to see such a variety of work across the school, and displaying artwork from every year in one place shows the progress the children make while they are with us.” The Summer 2017 exhibition was a huge success, and we look forward to seeing more of the fantastic efforts of our current students next year.
