Sulgrave Manor

A super trip which gave a real flavour of life in Tudor times.  The Year 4 pupils enjoyed dressing in character and during a tour, learning about the contrasting lifestyles of peasants and the privileged Lawrence Washington whose home was Sulgrave Manor.  The children prepared and performed in a play about the Tudors - learning first about Henry VII and then the rather more famous Henry VIII and all of his wives and children.  There were roles for all including someone cast as 'Rome' and another who played the Pope.
