Giga-Final Here We Come!

Berkhampstead’s successful season of chess continued at the weekend with five of the school’s players qualifying for the North of England ‘Gigafinal’ in the Delancey UK Schools Chess Challenge. The Gloucestershire qualifying round saw three of our boys win through in the U9 boys section. A Year 3 pupil - certainly a player for the future - was one of the top U8 boy qualifiers while a Year 6 girl enjoyed huge success in winning the U11 girls section, being awarded a trophy and the title of ‘Suprema’.
